Responsibilities:

  • Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
  • Prepare and process blood samples for laboratory testing
  • Accurately label and organize specimens for transport
  • Follow strict protocols and ensure flawless execution of phlebotomy procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely specimen collection

Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, rotating Saturdays (1/2 day every 4-6 weeks) with flexibility

Qualifications
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Phlebotomy certification required
  • Proven experience as a Phlebotomist
  • Excellent knowledge of venipuncture techniques
  • Keen eye for detail and proficiency in precise specimen labeling
  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory procedures
Must be able to travel to other HMA locations along the South Shore as well as home draw visits when necessary.

Must have reliable transportation.

Must be able to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
