Position Overview:
The Pipeline Operator is responsible for supporting base operations by the Damage Prevention capability as well as supporting the remote operations staff. "Protect the Base"
This is a Department of Transportation (DOT) regulated position and is subject to drug and alcohol testing in compliance with DOT regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Permit jobs & activities on Pipeline Assets and Pipeline Right of Ways (ROW)
- Startup and shut down of product delivery skids, pipeline connections and pump stations when needed.
- Complete Valve line-up according to Pipeline Control Center and Customer needs.
- Monitor Pressures and Flows when needed by the Pipeline Control Center.
- Complete Weekly LDAR/AVO Rounds at sites within Motiva's LDAR Program.
- Maintain signage on the ROW as well as facilities and valve sites.
- Complete One Call documentation in a timely manner.
- Respond to Emergency and 811 tickets by probing, marking, and painting assets.
- Participate in onsite meetings with third party excavators.
- Monitor and approve excavations & bores.
- Partner with the local corrosion technician on coating and CP issues.
- Complete foreign line crossing documentation.
- Investigate and document aerial patrol findings.
- Complete all issued compliance inspections in a timely manner.
- Complete compliance documentation in Motiva's work management system.
- Oversee contractors that are preforming work for small operational projects and repairs.
- Participate in TRRC Audits as needed.
- Provide integrity project support.
- Conduct maintenance pigging.
- Provide Temporary Flare management and oversite.
- Maintain all relevant OQ's to complete all the Pipeline Operator's roles.
- Maintain site specifics, TWIC, and all security requirements to access third party locations.
Experience and Qualifications:Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must currently hold or be able to qualify to receive a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card at time of hire

- Experience running maintenance and smart tools
