Plant Controller

Role Overview: As an integral part of the Holton leadership team, the Plant Controller plays a pivotal role in member development, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic copilot to the Plant Director, leveraging their financial acumen, analytical expertise, and leadership skills to set strategic direction, identify financial opportunities, and lead improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide thought leadership and insights to achieve plant key performance metrics, emphasizing cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Cultivate relationships across all levels of the plant, including Core Team, Team Leaders, and Floor Members, actively participating in formal and informal meetings.
• Take a hands-on approach to understanding all aspects of plant operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Translate data into actionable insights, leveraging our data-rich environment to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop clear and concise dashboards that communicate operational and financial metrics effectively.
• Lead the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, linking operational metrics to financial outcomes.
• Collaborate with the central cost accounting team to align efforts.
• Ensure facility cost per unit meets expectations, making necessary course corrections.
• Support Commercial teams in estimating product costs for new offerings.
• Evaluate business opportunities, contribute to capital decisions, and drive cost reduction initiatives.
• Establish procedures and controls for accurate product costing and inventory management.
• Coach and develop direct reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required).
• CMA, CPA, and/or MBA (preferred).
• Six or more years of accounting and finance experience, including management roles.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and product costing.
• Proactive self-starter with excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Practical systems knowledge (SAP preferred).
• Demonstrated abilities in project management and change management.
