Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit:The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy (www.pharmacy.unc.edu) is one of six health science schools (Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, Public Health, Medicine) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is one of the oldest health science academic programs at Chapel Hill. The School teaches approximately 600 PharmD students and 145 graduate students. The Zhou Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to explore drug development in mRNA-LNP therapeutics and tumor heterogeneity. The ideal candidate will have strong wet lab experimental skills, such as molecular biology or nanoparticle formulation, combined with a passion for integrating computational modeling into their research. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of experimental and computational science to drive innovations in cancer therapeutics.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:Ph.D. in drug delivery, pharmacology, cancer biology, or a related field.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:- Extensive hands-on experience in wet lab techniques such as LNP formulation, PCR, RT-qPCR, cell culture, protein analysis, microscopy.
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills for preparing manuscripts, presenting at conferences, and mentoring junior lab members.
