Meta's Privacy Advisory Compliance Team (PACT) is looking for a Compliance Program Manager to support the day-to-day operations of Meta's company-wide privacy by design process. In this role, you'll work closely with our Privacy Program Managers, Engineers and cross-functional partners as you run and ensure the effective operation of Meta's "Diff audit" program, where samples of code changes are reviewed to determine if the correct Privacy Review context was applied, that an appropriate Privacy Review was linked, and that changes are remediated if a defect is discovered.We are looking for an individual with demonstrated experience in privacy, compliance and/or auditing type functions with a product and data oriented mindset. Someone who shares our passion for tackling privacy complexities head-on, to help design and build continuous operational compliance practices for the company that mitigate risk and represent our users and their privacy at the forefront of everything that we do.
Privacy Compliance Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Compliance Oversight: Oversee auditing of code changes for compliance with Meta's Privacy Review Process, and support regulatory compliance efforts for this program including controls testing, certifications, risk assessments, oversight, and governance.
- Risk & Issue Management: Identify and respond to risks, own remediation of issues, and develop strategies to ensure ongoing compliance with privacy program objectives.
- Audit Preparation and Coordination: Participate in preparation for audits of the company's privacy program, act as point of contact for recurring assessments, and track and respond to requests in a timely and organized manner.
- Leadership and Strategic Thinking: Develop long-term objectives for how we will evolve our testing and operations functions while delivering on immediate priorities dictated both internally and externally
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with Legal, engineering teams, and other departments to identify regulatory requirements, utilize internal tools, and implement improved programmatic mitigations and controls. Communicate programmatic metrics and potential process improvements to the broader privacy team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in a project management, program management, operations role in a technology or software development environment
- Demonstrated understanding of privacy regulations and industry standards
- Experience with process improvement and project management methodologies
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Demonstrated success working collaboratively to drive complex and time-sensitive projects to completion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Law) or equivalent practical experience
- Proven track record in privacy or technology compliance, investigative and/or audit experience
- Familiarity with systems thinking, computer programming, or engineering principles
- Experience identifying new opportunities for programmatic mitigations and controls, implementing operational improvements, and delivering product, organizational, or process changes
- Proven experience influencing and working effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, content strategists, and lawyers
