Description: Job Title: Production Supervisor

Summary: The Production Supervisor orchestrates all activities to achieve manufacturing objectives aligned with safety, quality, cost, and delivery standards. They uphold departmental standards and collaborate on manufacturing activities across various facility functions, ensuring cross-functional proficiency in food safety to support plant operations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise activities to meet manufacturing goals while adhering to safety, quality, cost, and delivery parameters
• Maintain facility-wide standards and practices
• Collaborate on manufacturing activities with departments such as materials, production planning, product development, testing, customer service, maintenance, and engineering
• Cross-functional in food safety, capable of supporting any area within the plant
• Manage operation areas within approved guidelines including labor, yield, line rates, and material usage
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Supervise and optimize area operations
• Work with the Production Manager to develop and enforce policies and procedures
• Oversee safe, quality, and cost-effective product manufacturing
• Ensure timely production of quality products
• Ensure adherence to product specifications, reporting deviations immediately
• Report potential issues to the Production Manager promptly
• Obtain approval for additional labor and staff when needed
• Approve vacation requests per policy
• Participate in facility meetings
• Complete and submit reports within designated timeframes

Qualifications:

• Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and protocols
• Expertise in material control, optimization, and utilization
• Skilled in managing personnel safety, food safety, and quality procedures
• Demonstrated communication skills
• Goal-oriented with continuous improvement focus
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and customer-specific standards
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
