RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Project Cost Controller who will manage the financial aspects of internal development projects. Key Duties:- Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage project budgets, track and control costs, establish cost baselines, and update forecasts to ensure projects stay within budget
- Cost Analysis & Reporting: Analyze project costs and trends, identify variances, and prepare insightful reports for stakeholders
- Financial Compliance: Ensure accurate and compliant record-keeping, including invoice review and approval
- ROI Analysis: Assess project ROI, analyze cost-benefit data, and report on financial performance
- Process Improvement: Implement and improve cost control processes, streamline workflows, and develop standardized templates
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Track and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle
- Perform cost variance analysis and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare and deliver financial reports to stakeholders
- Conduct ROI analysis and report on project outcomes
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 7-10+ years of experience in project cost control, financial planning, or project accounting, ideally within a development or project-based environment
- Strong understanding of project cost control principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Netsuite
- Excellent analytical skills, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders clearly
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
