Our client is hiring a highly skilled and motivated Data Technology Project Manager to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage complex data technology projects from inception to completion, working remotely. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management within the technology sector, demonstrating expertise in planning, executing, and delivering projects efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, plan, and deliver projects using established project management methodologies throughout the entire project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Conduct kick-off meetings to gather project requirements, collaborating closely with engineers and customers to document project needs and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to outline the level of effort, dependencies, and critical paths necessary for successful project completion.
- Assist in the creation of cost estimates for customers by defining project scope and requirements, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
- Lead and support implementation cutovers, adhering to predefined escalation plans, documenting issues, and capturing lessons learned for future reference.
- Provide regular project status updates, maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, and deliver bi-weekly status reports.
- Coordinate multiple teams to ensure seamless project delivery, managing timelines and resources effectively.
- Manage project financials from initial budget setup to tracking and closure, including cost forecasting, risk management, and tracking the financial health of the project.
Qualifications: - Proven experience in project management, specifically within the data technology or related field.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to perform simple math, use formulas, create pivot tables, and utilize V Lookups.
- Familiarity with PMI Waterfall project management methodology and ability to apply these principles to project execution.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive requirements, scope definition, and task delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with varying levels of complexity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on risk identification and mitigation.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting, maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.
- Availability to work weekends and off-hours as needed for project implementations.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
