QA Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join their team.

As a QA Engineer, you will assist our automated tester in creating Selenium tests written in Java. You will also perform manual tests to support our manual testing effort across multiple products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work under moderate guidance and direction, using standard procedures to make sound decisions
  
• Translate existing manual test cases or scripts into automated tests through the review of test plans, business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specifications
  
• Participate in software design and review sessions to ensure test plans align with business requirements
  
• Develop and maintain test automation components
  
• Execute test plans, record and report results, assist with analyzing test results, and provide root-cause analysis for problems encountered during testing
  
• Prepare and acquire test data, conduct peer reviews of test work products
  
• Participate in special projects as requested
  
• Prepare for and participate in testing activities for production deployments and remediation
  
  

Qualifications:

• Associates degree and 4 years of related work experience OR Bachelors degree and 2 years of related work experience
  
• Selenium automation development experience (Java preferred)
  
• Knowledge of Quality Assurance Engineer methodologies and practices
  
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the importance of the QA function within the framework
  
• Familiarity with computer hardware and software, operating systems, browsers, Internet navigation, and downloading/installing software
  
• Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, and Behavior-driven development
  
• Experience with test case management and execution using test management tools
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Azure, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
