Research Scientist in Biogeochemistry - ISEE

Job Summary
Conduct research and publish findings in the area of biogeochemistry.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of peer-review manuscript.
  • Data production (lab-based) and analysis.
  • Manage multiple projects, including management of graduate and undergraduate student researchers.
  • Assist PI with grant writing as well as grant reporting.
Additional Physical Demands
Must have or have ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license to drive to various field sites to conduct research.

Minimum Qualifications

Ph.D. in soil science, biogeochemistry, environmental chemistry, agricultural science or related field. A minimum of at least 1 year as a postdoctoral researcher.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the areas of Soil science; soil chemistry; biogeochemistry of phosphorus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Evidence of consistent use of good judgment, discretion, and tactful communication. Energy and enthusiasm for expressing the value of diverse cultures, fostering empathy, and improving organizations in the areas of access and representation. Knowledge and experience with office software and ability to learn custom systems. Ability to handle multiple priorities without direct supervision. Excellent oral and written communications skills with a record of publications in peer reviewed journals.
Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after closing date. Salary range is $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year.
