Essential Functions/Responsibilities: The Retail Collections Specialist II Engages in more skip work and asset identification. A person in this position will work at expanding the depth of the work on an account to better explain the reasons for delinquency through the use of the file and other collection tools available within the department. The Retail Collections Specialist II works on the perfection of their collections skills and their ability to present their work in a fashion that fully tells the story behind the delinquent account. A Retail Collections Specialist II transitions into participating in higher level meetings and reporting with management. • May recommend and initiate the beginning of legal proceedings in regards to accounts in default. 20% • Prepares internal reports for analysis of delinquencies and the projections of charge-offs and partial write-downs. 30% • Recommends charge-off amounts in regards to assets requiring full or partial write-downs to bring loans in-line with projected or identified recoverable balances. 20% • May be required to work with realtors, attorneys, property management companies, as well as state and local governments to secure proper title to properties and allow for the easy and properly documented and legal transition into the Bank's OREO portfolio. 15% • Ability to read reports like Accurint, CBRs, BPOs and PACER. 15% Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job: • 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
