1st Shift - Sunday to Wednesday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

SUMMARY:

Tallies products or raw materials such as, chicken parts or feathers, SPN or Blood received from suppliers or by and from farm workers, for production purposes by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Other duties may be assigned.

Computes and records totals of tallied figures.

Examines and sorts items.

Records number and types of defects for quality control purposes.

Counts sample quantity of parts onto ratio balance scale and computes total number of parts.

Issues receipts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Must have or be able to obtain a valid state drivers license.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Hours:

1st Shift - Sunday to Wednesday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

1st Shift- Thursday to Sunday 8:00 am to 8:00 pm

Sunday is a scheduled plant shut down for Maintenance, housekeeping, and Training.

Shifts are subject to every 8 week periodic rotation.

Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.

Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.

Must reside within the United States to be eligible for employment.

Prefer: Reside within an hour from the plants location.

NEW HIRE SIGN-ON Bonus: $3,000.00 sign-on bonus paid out $500.00 at 30 days. $1,000.00 paid out at 90 days and $1,500.00 paid out at 6 months.
