RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior AP Specialist in Rockville, MD.Responsibilities:- Senior AP Specialist will process incoming invoices and ensure they are accurately matched with purchase orders and receipts
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in invoices, statements, and payment records
- Record accounts payable transactions in the company's accounting software
- Ensure timely payments to vendors, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all accounts payable data is up to date
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact details and payment terms
- As a Senior AP Specialist, you will respond to internal and external inquiries related to accounts payable
- Perform regular audits of accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with financial controls
- Process and file payment documentation and related records
- Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Or equivalent work experience
- Previous experience in an accounts payable or bookkeeping role is preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Proficiency in Costpoint software
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
