The Sr Benefits Specialist will be responsible for the administration, management, and communication of employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position will play a key role in optimizing employee benefits offerings, managing benefit enrollments, and providing expert guidance on benefits-related inquiries. *Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* 
* Oversee day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement plans (401(k), pensions), disability, life insurance, and wellness programs. 
* Manage benefits enrollment processes, including open enrollment, new hires, life events, and termination of plans, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely processing. 
* Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations such as ERISA, ACA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements. Prepare and file required reports and filings. 
* Develop and deliver communication materials (e.g., benefits guides, emails, webinars) to employees regarding benefits options, eligibility, and changes.
* Act as a subject matter expert for employees on company Benefits and offerings.
* Liaise with third-party vendors (insurance providers, retirement plan administrators, etc.) to ensure services are delivered accurately and efficiently.
* Provide expert guidance and support to employees on benefits-related inquiries, including claims issues, eligibility, and plan changes.
* Assist with problem resolution and ensure a high level of customer service.
* Prepare and analyze benefits data, trends, and metrics.
* Provide regular reports on benefits usage, costs, and program effectiveness. 
* Continuously evaluate current benefits programs and processes, recommending improvements or enhancements to meet employee needs and improve program efficiency. 
* Partner with HR, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of benefits strategies.
* Mentor and train junior benefits staff as necessary. 
* Frequent phone and email communication with employees, vendors, and team members, requiring clear verbal communication skills.
* Other duties as assigned by management.
 *Education/Qualification:*  
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* At least 4 years of experience in benefits administration, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior or lead role.
* Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), or similar certifications preferred.
* Strong proficiency in benefits software and HRIS systems; experience with benefit administration platforms is a plus.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits concepts clearly.
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong visual capability to review detailed reports, documents, and benefits information in electronic and printed formats.

* Performs other duties as assigned.
