RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our Data Science and AI team in San Antonio, TX.Summary:In this role, you will help transform data into actionable insights, drive business strategy, and develop innovative AI-driven solutions. You will leverage advanced machine learning, statistical techniques, and analytics to solve complex challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable models and algorithms.Key Responsibilities:
  • Senior Data Scientist will lead the development of new solutions to meet evolving business needs
  • Use advanced machine learning techniques (e.g., deep learning, NLP, computer vision) to create innovative solutions
  • Manage multiple data science projects, ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Develop and optimize predictive models, integrating them with business intelligence tools
  • Build and maintain efficient data pipelines and collaborate with engineering teams for large-scale deployment
  • Mentor junior data scientists in model development and data handling best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership to provide data-driven insights that inform strategic decisions
  • Stay current with emerging data science technologies and methodologies
  • As a Senior Data Scientist, you will conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and communicate findings
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver actionable solutions
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across data processing pipelines
  • Advocate for ethical use of data and models
  • Partner with external experts to enhance domain knowledge and improve data solutions


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience required; Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data science or a similar role
  • Expertise in Python and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Key Skills:
  • AI/ML - Strong knowledge of AI/ML concepts and algorithms to design intelligent systems and applications
  • Business Domain Knowledge - Understanding of business processes and market trends to deliver actionable insights
  • Communication & Collaboration - Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Data Analysis - Expertise in analyzing data and applying statistical methods to support decision-making
  • Data Ethics - Knowledge of ethical considerations in data usage and mitigating bias in models and decisions
  • Data Mining - Experience in techniques like clustering, classification, and forecasting to extract insights from data
  • Data Monetization - Familiarity with strategies to unlock value from data, including commercialization and data marketplaces
  • NLP - Proficiency in natural language processing to analyze and extract insights from text data
  • Problem-Solving - Strong ability to identify challenges, analyze solutions, and make data-driven recommendations
  • Reporting & Dashboarding - Skilled in preparing reports and dashboards to communicate insights and guide decision-making
  • Statistical Analysis - Solid foundation in statistical principles to support data-driven decisions and analysis


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
