Work Location: Remote

Duration: 4 month contract (part time, 20 hours per week)

Description:

We are seeking a Senior Designer to work part time (20 hours per week) on enhancing the experience and design of our client's application. This role requires a designer who can work independently, conduct their own research, and engage in stakeholder and user interviews. The ideal candidate will have a consumer-centric mindset, intellectual curiosity, and strong communication skills to collaborate with technology teams and improve the usability and design standards of the our client's application.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product management, designers, data and analytics, and engineering teams during discovery and requirements gathering sessions.
• Participate in strategy and roadmap sessions.
• Create design artifacts based on analytics, user research, and best practices.
• Ideate and provide multiple design solutions.
• Share work regularly and refine designs based on feedback.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Define final layout, font, colors, and spacing rules for the user interface, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
• Source images, icons, or videos needed for design completion.
• Clearly articulate problems, user access, and experience progression during presentations.
• Manage timelines, milestones, and internal processes to ensure timely delivery.
• Gain a deep understanding of client design patterns and apply them appropriately.
• Support research initiatives by preparing and building prototypes for user testing.
• Leverage market insights to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Represent customer and business needs to develop tailored solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in digital design with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in designing digital experiences across web platforms like ServiceNow, Salesforce, or other CRM tools.
• 5+ years of experience in Agile product management.
• Experience using heuristic evaluation to define experience and design improvements.
• Ability to represent customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Expert-level understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and usability best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) is a plus.
• Proficiency in Figma for documenting designs and creating prototypes.
• A portfolio demonstrating creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to influence cross-functionally at all levels.
• Passion for identifying and solving customer problems.
• Comfort in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to work remotely.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in human-computer interaction, interaction design, graphic design, or a related field.
• Growth mindset and ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-divisional teams.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Methodical and accurate in routine tasks.
• Adaptable to rapidly changing environments and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to lead without authority, motivating staff to align with organizational goals.

• Experience or certification in Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, PMP, Six Sigma, or Change Management.
