The Senior Finance Payroll Associate will lead their assigned division to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for both local employees and expatriates. This role involves providing payroll-related analysis and information to division management, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, and disseminating necessary information to internal and external clients.
What You Will Do:
- Compiling and analyzing payroll information and providing complex reports to HR, Accounting and Finance.
- Prepare regular and ad hoc management information reports and spreadsheets, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing payroll information.
- Accurately administer the HR employee information into our payroll systems.
- Maintain records and document Payroll processes.
- Maintain an effective internal controls environment by following all FSG Policy and Procedural Statements, and requesting clarification when guidance is unclear.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required and annual reporting requirements for Pension, Worker's Compensation, Corporate Tax Reporting for vendors, policy renews and tax consultants.
- Review tax reports and returns, works with third party to address discrepancies, resolves inquiries and processes amendments for compliance.
- Drive process improvement and efficiency in your area of responsibility while minimizing risk and cost.
- Coordinate Payroll audit with internal/external auditors.
- Perform review of funding of all payrolls and payments.
- Prepares multiple complex and varied financial reports (including ad hoc reports) that require selection, preparation, and interpretation of data using complex data query tools.
- Collaborate within the ABS organization to identify and resolve employee issues with Payroll.
What You Will Need: Required/Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent related business experience.
- Three (3) or more years of experience
- Professional certification preferred (CPP)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of data privacy and security principles and possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Operational understanding of computerized accounting systems (Oracle), payroll system (Dayforce), human resources software (Oracle HCM), electronic spreadsheets, and related benefits systems as applicable.
- Proven ability to investigate and resolve internal/external problems satisfactorily and to accomplish tasks within specified time requirements.
- Capacity to analyze, interpret, and report payroll data.
- Accurately and efficiently input HR & Payroll data into payroll system. Complete high-quality reconciliations of HR system data to Payroll system data.
- Technically proficient with HR and Payroll systems and experience or able to familiarize themselves with tax and reporting requirements and reconciliations.
- Analyze large datasets and identify patterns and trends.
- Communicate basic insights from data analysis.
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of ABS Rules, Guides, statutory regulations, related instructions, and the ABS Employee Safety Policy.
Reporting Relationships: Reports directly to the Senior Manager, Finance.
