RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a well-established credit union located in the Grand Rapids, MI area is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join their team. There is an opportunity to grown within the company. This position will be on-site, full time.Duties:- As Senior Internal Auditor you will conduct audits of financial statements, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements specific to Credit Unions
- Recommend improvements to policies, procedures and internal controls for operational efficiency
- Identify potential areas of fraud, waste, or inefficiency within the credit union
- Train staff
- Other projects as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance or related field
- 4 years of audit experience with or without CPA but a go-getter will be a good fit
- Working knowledge and requirements to specific credit unions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with other financial depts and leadership
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines
- Problem-solving skills to address potential risk
- Ability to adapt to changing industry trends
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
