Cat Rental & Used Division has an open position as Senior Manager FP&A that supports a global team focused on driving sustainable growth through deep understanding of our customers and dealers by defining and providing exceptional support of processes and tools.

In this role, you will balance strategic ideas with complex accounting principles and financial concepts representing the business to senior leadership across the enterprise. This position reports directly to the Senior Finance Director of Cat Rental & Used.

What you will do:

  • Manage all aspects of accountable analysis, insights and reporting of financial results of the business on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis for the Cat Rental & Used group.
  • Ensure financial reporting integrity including compliance requirements of a strong control environment and the achievement of other financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Implement new tools and analytics to continuously improve the financial analysis, business insights, risk evaluation and enterprise learning of solutions selling.
  • Drive effective coordination and strong collaboration with enterprise partners including Construction Industries and Resource Industries Product Groups, Cat Digital, Cat Financial, Corporate Accounting and Dealers.
  • Be a strategic thought partner with the Cat Rental & Used leadership team to profitably grow the business to achieve it's 2030 bold goal strategic plan.
What Skills you will have:
  • Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business and/or 10 years equivalent experience
  • Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Coaches others in the use of financial management practices and tools. Designs financial analysis approaches and modeling specific to the business. Reviews key financial and performance indicators used by the corporation.
  • Financial Analysis: Knowledge of tools and approaches of financial analysis; ability to read, interpret and draw accurate conclusions from financial and numerical material. Adapts financial analysis methods to support organizational goals.
  • Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Explains the organization's business model and competitive position in the marketplace.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Makes sound business decisions on behalf of the group when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.

  • The primary location for this position is Dallas, TX
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify
