What you'll do...
We are seeking an individual to join the Estimating Team. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for estimating and negotiating construction projects for a geographical region of the country. This includes responsibility for working with key partners to understand scope, timing and requirements for execution of the project and those overall effects on estimates and budgets. Responsibility for preparing and understanding key drivers in the market by working with internal and external partners to understand complexity and communicate these to Leadership. This includes but is not limited to coordination on design, scope, schedule and budget between multiple internal and external departments and business partners.
What You'll Do...
- Develop estimates on retail, special projects and industrial projects in the portfolio.
- Review quotes from Vendors to understand completeness, costs, and opportunity.
- Lead discussion with internal and external partners on construction pricing.
- Observe trends across the program and bring awareness to the team providing insight, consistency and develop cross functional solutions where needed.
- Assist in managing the implementation of change into the program by providing cost guidance.
- Provide insight to Partners on cost drivers and work on solutions to mitigate future spend.
- Coordinate and work with teams for the best possible design for installation, cost, and use of building practices.
- Seeks and implements opportunities within the department to develop or refine processes that optimize our procedures reducing review time while providing better consistency.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field OR 6 years' experience in site development, design, and construction.
- 4 years' experience in program and project management

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
