RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Observability/Site Reliability Engineer in Phoenix, AZ 3 days onsite per week for a 6 Months+ Contract with possible extensions.Summary:This team is dedicated to building and refining processes and tools that enable observability across complex software systems within the organization.Primary responsibilities include:- Collaborate with various teams to set up effective monitoring processes and provide solutions that ensure consistent system health and performance visibility
- Implements tools and systems to continuously monitor applications, systems, and services, providing real-time insights into performance and operational health
- Design, implement, and maintain tools for observing and troubleshooting complex software systems, including setting up monitoring and alerting, managing incidents, and collecting logs, metrics, and traces
- Works closely with Development and Operations teams to ensure a seamless flow of data and insights, allowing for efficient troubleshooting and resolution of issues
- Drive automation in monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting, optimizing the platform's scalability and performance
- Platform Scaling and Data Integration
- Focus on performance tuning, security monitoring, and ongoing improvements, ensuring the platform's capabilities are continuously enhanced
- Goal is to provide a comprehensive observability solution that includes alerting, monitoring, auto-healing, and ServiceNow (SNOW) integration, creating a robust system that offers clear, actionable insights and helps teams maintain optimal service performance
REQUIREMENTS:
- Overall 10+ years of experience
- Grafana OSS Stack for observability (Mimir, Loki, Tempo, Grafana agent)
- Azure or GCP or AWS hands-on with details around pulling observability data from managed services
- Java or Golang or Python coding or Open Telemetry SDK implementation in enterprise scale
- Experience in core aspects of observability, specifically metrics, logs, and traces
- Good communication skills are required
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
