Senior Structural Engineer
Remote from anywhere in the country

@Orchard LLC has multiple openings to work on a contract for a well-established solutions provider within the defense, intelligence, and critical infrastructure sector for experienced Structural Engineers to support long-term project work. The period of Performance could be 6-12 months depending on the project needs.

Duties include:

• Develop an in-depth knowledge of FAA and industry standard requirements, codes, and standards.
• Assist in the development of survey reports and make recommendations based on information gathered during the site survey and professional judgment.
• Assist in preparing tower condition reports based on data from site surveys by others.
• Tower Assessment involves assessing the tower for fall protection violations, checking plumb and twist, and a full assessment to determine what recommendations are required to improve it. Engineers will work on lattice telecommunication towers per "TIA-222-H Telecommunications Industry Association."
• Collaborate with field staff.
• Review reports provided by the field technicians. Revise reports as needed, and make engineering recommendations on how to improve the towers.
• Interact with team members in weekly meetings.
• Review field reports for errors and prepare for FAA review. Address comments from the FAA. Perform intradisciplinary checks. Sign documents as a PE for final issue.

Skills/Experience Required:

• PE Degreed Structural engineer from an ABET accredited program with 4+ years of experience after graduation. NCEES or other third party validation of ABET equivalency may be acceptable.
• PE Registration Required.
• Tower design experience required.
