Job Description:
Our client is hiring a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Desk Analyst to join our team in Dallas. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are eager to begin their career in IT support, providing first-level assistance for service requests and incident resolution. The role operates within a 24 x 7 x 365 environment, requiring flexibility to work various day and/or evening shifts. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in offering onsite business support through various communication channels, including phone calls and emails. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive experience in IT support and incident management in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-level IT support for service requests and incident resolution.
- Answer inbound customer calls and make outbound calls to resolve IT-related issues.
- Monitor operational dashboards and group email inboxes to create, resolve, and/or escalate operational incidents and service requests.
- Adhere to established Incident Management Processes and Procedures for classifying, prioritizing, and escalating incidents.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a high level of customer service and support.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical and customer service skills.
- Document all support activities and interactions in the IT support system accurately and comprehensively.
- Identify and suggest improvements to the incident management process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or certifications in IT or related field preferred.
- Availability to work in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment, including various day and evening shifts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information in an understandable manner.
- Basic understanding of IT principles and an eagerness to learn.
- Experience in customer service or IT support roles is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using computers and various software applications.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality customer service.
