The leader of the [Large Bank Capabilities Office] will spearhead the design and execution of critical initiatives to prepare Webster for its evolution into a large bank. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, this leader will provide strategic guidance and subject-matter expertise in producing Webster's inaugural resolution plan and establishing a robust foundation for regulatory readiness. This role demands an individual with extensive regulatory knowledge, a disciplined approach to long-term planning, and the ability to influence and mobilize teams across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Resolution Plan Leadership and Execution:

* Lead a federated, enterprise-wide approach to the inaugural resolution plan informational submission, supported by a small, central team.

* Interpret and implement regulatory requirements to ensure full alignment with standards and expectations.

* Create and maintain disciplined project plans to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

* Establish a sustainable framework for resolution planning, incorporating robust controls, governance and reporting mechanisms.

2. Large Bank Readiness Initiatives:

* Design and lead a comprehensive suite of projects aimed at enhancing BAU capabilities and adapting governance and operational frameworks.

* Develop and prioritize project plans, mobilizing teams across business lines to achieve readiness objectives.

* Build organizational alignment and advocate for continuous progress, ensuring Webster's preparedness for higher regulatory standards.

Experience

Regulatory Expertise: Proven ability to manage regulatory relationships and apply regulatory requirements in a banking context, with particular experience in resolution planning, governance enhancements, or large bank regulations.

* Project Leadership and Execution: Exceptional project management skills with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives that require strong alignment and engagement.

* Communication and Executive Presence: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information clearly to senior executives and external stakeholders. Demonstrated executive presence with the influence to drive behavioral change and project outcomes outside direct reporting lines.
