RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Product Development team (Product Management, Engineers, Service) to understand new control needs.
- Develop detailed control specifications, feature requirements, & use cases for new & updated features
- Work with programmers & testers to implement & test control features.
- Understand test requirements to support firmware (bench & simulator), Product Development (unit & hardware), & System (multi-unit) Testing
- Investigate field issue reports & develop short- & long-term mitigation plans
- Provide input on resource requirements, development time, & prioritization of control development requests
QUALIFICATIONS - BS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent required.
- MS in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field would be beneficial.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design for critical infrastructure systems.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams to accomplish project implementations on time, on budget, and with high quality.
- 7+ years of design experience within the Thermal Engineering field.
- 5+ years of design experience with controls operation.
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required (estimated 10% of time outside the Columbus, OH area)
- Solid communications skills, with fluency in both written and spoken English.
