Volt is immediately hiring multiple Structured Package Mechanics in Mabank, Texas.
As a Structured Package Mechanic, the work may entail:
- Working with a team to tear down industrial equipment and parts received from customer or other Company locations for cleaning and refurbishment
- Rebuilds of turbine engines
- Mechanical assembly and installations
- Wiring and sub-assembly
- Build up control system consoles which include PLC's, input/output modules, power supplies, terminal strips, and other electrical devices.
We are hiring for 1st (5am - 2:30pm) and 2nd shift (1pm - 9:30pm). If you work second you must train on first for a few weeks. Positions are long term temp, with strong potential to go temp to hire.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to follow all safety practices and procedures
- Wiring, assembly or sub-assembly experience
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Courses in electronics, hydraulics, mechanics, and shop procedures.
- Prior experience in the assembly and maintenance of electronics, hydraulics, mechanical systems, and shop procedures.
- Experience with the safe use of tools such as wrenches, drills, bandsaws etc.
- Ideal past experience: people who worked as a Diesel Mechanic or Automotive Mechanic / Technician , Outside Machinist , Aviation , Military Mechanic roles , Maintenance Technicians , or anyone who had a role where they "turned wrenches "
Pay Rate: $16-20/hr
