Description:

• Assists the Director with organizing, directing, coordinating and supervising functions and activities to maintain the hospital environment in a sanitary and orderly condition that complies with regulatory requirements
• Assists with selection, training/orientation, scheduling and assignment of departmental personnel.
• Assists with ensuring all customer satisfaction goals are maintained.
• Supervises environmental functions and activities.
• Conducts a comprehensive quality assurance program as directed.
• Supervises care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies/materials.

Minimum Qualifications
*High school diploma or equivalent, College degree desirable.
* Special courses in environmental or institutional management, or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of hospital operation and specific kinds of housekeeping required for various
departments. Thorough knowledge of housekeeping equipment, supplies/chemicals/agents.
* Previous management/supervisory experience in a hospital or similar institution.
