RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Technical Writer in Redmond, WA.Summary:This role will contribute to documentation focused on users (internal/external) that focuses on how to communicate, how to use a product and provide video documentation showing how the feature works/how to use/how to use the value. Learn across all 4 products and help deliver value that is delivered through user documentation for comms and management.Job Responsibilities:
  • Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology
  • Technical Writer will maintain records and files of work and revisions
  • Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or English, Journalism, Communications
  • 5+ years of experience with technical writing (Not specs, needs someone who is comfortable with user-focused technical writing)
  • 5+ years of experience with assimilation information of technical writing from a spec to create artifacts
  • 5+ years of experience developing video artifacts
  • Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read some programming code


The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
