This position is responsible for the operation of the Industrial Engineering department within the WFM team. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsible for the Industrial Engineering team on the WFM team; overseeing all departments within the store to ensure the team has clear direction, proper guidance, and are developing and maintaining a labor model that is accurate, simple and maintainable to best support stores.
Knowledge of and experience in implementing end-to-end project solutions, including industry and customer research, creating strategy and project vision, and associated change management practices. Working alongside peers within the WFM team, develops strategic vision WFM and Labor Allocation, ensuring that key business partners and stakeholders are involved and leveraged throughout to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.
Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.
Acts as the gate keeper/voice of the labor model and is responsible for any decisions related to labor hours for stores. The individual will be responsible for keeping the vision of Transparent and Trusted alive by creating and maintaining that relationship across the organization.
Effectively acts as an expert in core Industrial Engineering principles and is a technical leader for the Industrial Engineering team. Having a strong foundation in MOST and engineered labor standards development to help audit the Industrial Engineering team's work and ensure the team is following industry best practices.
Collaborates with senior and executive leadership to develop sustainable WFM and Labor Model strategies by providing guidance on areas of opportunity; acting as a subject matter expert, advising leadership on industry best practices; recommending initiatives with the greatest return on investment potential; and leading major projects and overseeing project teams to drive initiatives from concept through implementation.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
