Beacon Hill is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Manager for an exciting and engaging role! Our client, a growing organization in Portland, is seeking someone that can handle the day to day management and development of their Accounts Payable Team. If you have 2+ years of experience with managing and AP team of at least 3 people, a background in full cycle Accounts Payable and seeking a fantastic opportunity, look no further!

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of 4 union employees and 1 part-time contractor in the accounts payable department.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving vendor inquiries and payment-related issues.
• Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.
• Process outgoing payments using SAP software.
• Prepare journal entries for accounts payable accruals and manage related balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of both internal and external financial reports, data requests, and regulatory filings.
• Provide support during internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Manage 1099 reporting requirements.
• Review and approve vendor setups to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee month-end accruals and ensure timely processing.
• Approve wire transfers and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and processes for the accounts payable function.
